few notes (re: trip)
it is odd. so odd, that i could still remember the city so well even thought it has been eleven months since i was last there.

shuttled around on the metro a lot, even unnecessarily at times.
love the metro to bits. always that certain charm.
and a cute chinese guy on the zona_universitaria-canyelles line.
only thing is that this time 'round i wasn't capable enough at all to eavesdrop and perform real-time translation into bm for the girls just for the kicks. :P

sign language rules in this city. we walked into one quaint electrical/electronic shop with a hippie-haired nerdy-looking friendly young man behind the counter and a fat black cat on a huge box of something. and we exhausted our linguistic options. francès? ¡no! anglès? ¡no! alemany? ¡no!. i probably should've tried cantonese.
actually, no. he didn't say no. he just shook his head apologetically. and distorted francès got us furthest.

bought two novels (one bataille and one perec!!) in alphabetical permutations which are morphologically and semantically sensible to me!

got home to find the christmas tree up and the fact that i DID remember to switch off my room's heater.
