Update: The Next Screencap Adventure

Dec 19, 2007 10:20

Okay, so here's what I was thinking for the next screencap adventure.

Listed in pros and cons, FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE.

Pro:
- A great story, with some characters that I really like.
- Some truly excellent pop culture references.
- The game is actually quite a bit easier than Illusion of Gaia, so updates will go faster.
- A few opportunities for viewer interaction early on.

Con:
- The story is a bit anime-ish. That might be a turnoff to some people.
- It's another rather straightforward RPG. Probably shouldn't do two of those in a row.

Pro:
- Due to the nature of the Pokemon games - and the magic of CONTEXT - I'll actually be telling my own story!
- I know the first generation inside and out.
- Lots of funny nicknames, hopefully. :B

Con:
- I do have some trouble being consistent with my Pokemon training, so updates may be spotty here and there when I reach difficult areas (cough Surge cough).
- I'm not the first to do this. RedChocobo over at the Something Awful forums is doing a Pokemon Fire Red as well, so perhaps I could do Leaf Green? That's TECHNICALLY different.

Pro:
- It's a hilarious, endearing game with some truly challenging puzzles.
- Lots of humour in the end-of-level dialogue.

Con:
- It's a puzzle/platformer, which will be hard to screencap. Might be a video-with-commentary deal instead of the regular screencaps?

Well, that's what I got. I probably won't start until after Christmas, but in the meantime, let me know your opinions, guys! I will take them on board...and then probably do what I want anyway. :B

...Man, it's only six days until Christmas. How wild is that?
