He could never quite get over how much the princess changed in the kitchen; the flowing, formal pink dress got traded for a no-less-pink apron and comfortable skirt, the tiara looking almost out of place as she bustled about, adding flour here and cream there. Her cakes had always been works of art, things he'd look longingly at as she presented them to Mario, beaming wide. He'd share, of course - that was just how Mario was - but this...having Peach set a cake in front of him, still oven-warm?

Well. That was something to make him truly smile.
