Somehow, he never noticed until someone pointed it out; she'd sigh, and call him Stupei, and he'd sputter and wipe the dollop of icecream off the end of his nose. Honestly, you couldn't take him anywhere, with the way he ate.

She'd never thought to ask before, just thinking he liked the look - it did suit him, after all - but when she actually uttered the words, the way he turned red and muttered how it was 'none of her business' made her suspect something more. So much for secrets, Junpei.

It was just kinda pathetic from an adult at the time, but after everything was over she'd take a lot more pleasure in it; the way his face had fallen when she said nobody liked Pikachu anymore had just been priceless.

All he'd said is that he didn't know who she was. Before he knew it, he was being grabbed by the collar of his shirt, dragged close to her, that crazy glint in her eyes reminding him all too well of some of his other experiences. He'd stammered out a response to her accusations; no, I'm very sorry, ma'am. Even if you are 'Haruhi Suzumiya, SUPERSTAR!', that really doesn't help if I haven't heard of you in the first place.
