So I went to Supernova yesterday! It's basically the only con all year in my city, and it's the first time I ever went, so I was understandably excited about the whole shenanigan. I would have gotten this up last night but apparently it was vitally important that my mother play online poker for about seven hours straight.
I ran into my old buddy Dhanika in line to get tickets. He's the handsome fellow with his arms folded on the far left of this one, and the Luffy is his little brother, so if you see them in a lot of photos, that is why. Who doesn't bring a camera to these things, really.
Things we saw in line: Goku!
A tree with a face on it!
Some girl from Suikoden who I did not recognise, but who Dhanika insisted we compliment on her outfit!
A Yuna and an Auron! It was, like, 30 degrees Celsius all day even inside, so I felt so sorry for all the people in huge heavy outfits.
There were also a Lulu, Edea, and Selphie that I totally missed getting photos of. BAD FAN.
Especially since the line was very long. It went for like 100 metres behind us AND around the corner in front of us, too.
I was surprised to see the amount of original costumes in the place. We missed photographing the Tetris L-block and the Rubix Cube costumes, but for every Luffy, Naruto, or Ichigo (of which there were about a dozen each), there was something really cool and obscure.
Such as Deadpool! There was also that creepy little dude from Saw and about five different Rorsarchs. Four or five Jokers too. NO HAYLEY I DID NOT PHOTO ANY OF THEM ON PURPOSE.
These were some people Dhanika's older brother knew! Apparently the girl in the middle dresses like that when she goes to university ALL THE TIME.
I saw about two or three other Haruhis, too, but could not get close enough to grab pictures of them. This was pretty much the only anime character I gave two shits about, sadly. XD
But there was a Lucas as well! I was so psyched when I saw him. I really wish I'd had the cash to do the Duster cosplay now.
Also: Trucy! I made it my PERSONAL MISSION to seek out any Ace Attorney characters.
More people that Dhanika knew! That's Princess Tutu in the middle, I think. They did a great skit on the costume parade dealie which I did not photograph for reasons which will show up later.

These were the entrants for the national competition! There was, from memory~ Mei from Cardcaptor Sakura, one of the people from Ah! My Goddess, demon-form Crono from Crono Crusade, and Valkyrie someone-who-wasn't-Lenneth from Valkyrie Profile.

There was a whole bunch of awesome stuff on stage, but my camera is crap so I couldn't photograph it. My face hurt from grinning so wide after awhile, so that'll have to do. ISN'T THAT EXPLANATION ENOUGH?

Then I helped an Orihime and Tsunade find the train station, went home and watched some movies, the end.
So yes! All in all, a good time. I didn't actually BUY anything because I was too busy checking out all the cosplaying, but I enjoyed myself a lot nonetheless. A+ WOULD ATTEND AGAIN.
