That's the floor! You can't SWIM in the floor!
Blehhhh. I've been sick for the past few days, following the usual patterns; started with a cough, added the inevitable blinding headaches, and now it's down to a runny nose and manageable headache. And aching knees, for some reason. I think I've been cracking them or laying down too much or something.
Aside from some hardcore plotting at 8_dressing - I've started gravitating over there from PWDR, it's just more ACTIVE, as much as I love me some Dimension of Shrimp - I've been reading some Sims pictoventures over at the Sims 2 comm. Apparently they're called 'legacies' over there, following the family lines down rather than making doofy Mario sims or somesuch. :B
Of particular note so far are Emo Brothers Three (which is unintentionally hilarious), Look at me I'm an Anime Asylum (which cracked me up as well), and The Lair and Bishop Legacies which are genuinely fascinating. Most of them seem to deal with a great deal of custom content; shinier hair, better clothes, more pleasing faces. It looks nice enough, but I just crack up when people make emo kids with it. ANGST AND SIMS DO NOT GO TOGETHER, GUYS.
Haven't been writing much either, what with the hideous headaches. Spent a lot of time reading! I finished Soul Magic - the only Pratchett book I've EVER read, shock'n'horror - and found it very good. And a bunch of Spiderman and Strangers in Paradise comics, natch. XD
Also really getting into FFXII now that I don't have to grind to get further in the story, and really enjoying it. I have learned something about myself; as much as I hold to the ideals of respect and maturity towards women - hey, shut up disbelieves, stop laughing - I will still position the camera right behind a girl's butt while grinding and drift off.
There's also this one NPC which really impresses me with the game. She's a Viera called Kryt or something who sits near the southern entrance of the Muthru Bazaar in Rabanastre. If you visit her periodically in the story, whenever anything happens or you clear a new dungeon, she'll have something new to say. It's mostly about her reservations of living in the city, leaving the Wood, wanting to be like her sister, but I really liked it. It's something else to have that level of depth in one unimportant NPC. Also makes me want Vaan/Kryt but let's not dwell on that.
What else, what else~ uh, job search is...going. I've really gotta get on that. Having $200 in the bank + christmas presents = slight worry.
