Screencap Adventure: Pokemon TCG (Part 16)
Once, a long time ago, I was doing a screencap adventure. Some of you may have heard of it, but it has largely passed into the things of legends. 'The Next TCG Episode': hallowed words, often invoked, rarely fulfilled.
Until now.

Okay, one medal left! Let's head to the Psychic Club!
Pretty nice place. That giant eye plaque is kinda unnerving, though.
Really? I always heard Psychic stuff was really weak...
Well hey, good luck with that! With any hope, you'll be trying to take them off me.

She looks like a likely candidate!

Um, h-hi...Stephanie, was it? N-nice to meet you.
O-okay, lemme just...wait, no! Focus, Jonesy!
We'll start with...oh wait, what?
Come on! How am I supposed to win if I can't do more than 20 damage per hit?
And with that, too? Man...
Hmph. Alright, I'm gonna need some tactics...
All I've got is these guys though, and neither of them can do under 30 damage.

About five turns later...
Aha! Finally.
Alright, let's see how well Hitmonchan can do!
...oh, whoops. Forgot about that weakness.
Still managed to take him down, though.
A Mew, huh? Okay, those don't have much HP, I can just do one...
Oh, WHAT.
And then...oh geez. Man, that lady wasn't kidding about these cards being tough.
Oh, thank goodness! Maybe that can turn this around!
I'll just get Ponyta ready to evolve, and we can wipe the floor with them!
Ghhh, things are getting pretty close...hopefully the Rapidash can...wait.
What did that effect say?

Okay, I don't have any Potions or anything that can help me. Gonna have to take a chance here.
Nuts.
And then-- oh, man. Maybe I should put some Psychics in my deck.
Okay...okay. Last-ditch plan.
I can switch to Charmander and plink away 10 damage per turn at him! Maybe if I'm lucky, I can win.
Or not.
So, um...I can't do more than 30 damage. Mr. Mime has 40HP. And Slowbro can take away all of that damage before every turn.
...I think I've been trapped.
Yup, definitely trapped.
Well, at least it was by a cute girl.
Darn straight. I'm gonna check all those books in the lobby, then we'll have a rematch for sure!
Probably shoulda gone here first, now I think of it.
Man, I really wish I had some Psychic cards so I could properly battle these guys. The only thing I could do to combat was use the colourle--

: Well, I'm hardly going to let one little malpractice suit stop me, am I?

Small round-up of my current PS2 gorging:
- God of War is the most hilariously masculine game ever. It's completely filled with grunting and blood and stabbing and girls with their tits out. No joke, at the start of the second level there is a timed-button-pressing minigame where you have hot sweaty sex with these two concubines you picked up. All the action takes place offscreen of course, but the whole game fills with these orgasmic moans. It's the biggest load of confirm-your-heterosexuality ever. XD
Reminds me a lot of Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, too. Like, a lot.
- Disgaea 2 is fun fun fun. I've not played a strategy game properly since I finished Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, so this is reaaally scratching an itch. A lot easier to get into than I thought, and some stellar writing and art direction too. 8Db
- Bully is still awesome. I am actually shunning GTA: San Andreas in favour of it. :V
- I really really want to replay FFVII for the...fourth time, I think. Halp. D:
