In the meantime, I finished Final Fantasy II and Phantom Hourglass! FFII is known as the FF you can utterly break with a few hour's early grinding, and man, they aren't kidding. I killed the final boss in four turns.
Also, the main villian is just called 'The Emperor'. Rule 133, anyone? :B
It doesn't help that Rule 180 is in full effect, too; there are about eight towns in FF2, and about six of them get completely wiped out. YEAH, THAT WORLD SURE IS SAVED ALRIGHT, BOY HOWDY. Even in the end credits, Hilda is all 'we must now set about restoring what was been lost'. Yeah, good luck with that. You and Mysidia are the ONLY SURVIVING TOWNS IN THE WORLD.
Phantom Hourglass...I have to say, my opinion changed over time. At the start it just seemed so damn fiddly and annoying, but over time it became...well, it was still fiddly. But I could handle it by that time.
Similarly, I didn't get the Linebeck love until I got further into the game. Now I get it aaall too well. Oh, Linebeck. <3
Tetra got kidnapped twice and put in mortal peril once, though. Christ. What happened to the awesome pirate chick who could kick ass? Tetra is no damsel in distress, Nintendo! Take heed!
But yes. In summary, the game was short (only seven dungeons?), but good fun. I actually laughed out loud at some of the slapstick stuff, too.

Now, there's something I wanted to ask, too. I want to do a short game once I finish Pokemon TCG; something quick and easy, maybe in video. (Kid Klown in Crazy Chase, what?) If you've got any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.
For now, I was thinking I miiiight do an adventure of Paradise Heights, a hilariously horrible H-game. All properly age-locked and stuff, in the same vein as Zarla's run through Silver Chaos.
Would anyone be interested in this?
Current contenders for the next adventure (after the short one) are Soul Blazer, Magic Knights Rayearth, and Tales of Phantasia, by the by. Suggestions are welcome! :D
