CRASH CARTS for living

May 28, 2007 14:07

A reach out into the ether, a shout into the void.  A hello, dear friends, dear wonders.  be full of fucking wonder!  Last time we were with our hero (me) half of you were still in Baton Rouge.  Another half may still have been alive, and a handful of you may or may not have been my friends.  Time passes, lives move on.  So? Status Report?  At University of New Orleans Master's Program for Arts Administration, and I work at one of the largest liquor distributors in Louisiana as Tech Support for their State Branch Office.  Not too shabby - works around my school schedule, laid back, but who would have thought the sight of my name on my door would appease me?

As for fun, i've cut a lot of terrible things out of my life. bad choices, as it were. people, places, substances, fiction writers, even trying to stay far away from the color green.   Can't say why, it just washes me out in a terrible way.  Whats the point of all this?  Why the hell do WE care indest?  We are merely an audience, forced for a miniscule second as we scroll down and see, curiously, what our friends are up to these days.  I dont know even if you should care what i have to say, but remember that it sucks to be alone, burnt bridges can be built again, yada yada.

The hardest part of life outside of the circle of YOU, you people on this livejournal are the people from that formative undergraduate life, filled with hope, parties, drugs, sex, rock and roll, or at least the self-delusion of it all.  And alas, now that we are out in the real world crying like spoiled shits because we have to pay the piper, I especially want to look back and make sure everyone is still alive and somewhat mentally and emotionally healthy.  Not physically dying is also good.  I love(d) you guys.  Isn't it weird how long bouts of total absence change your perspective.  Fills you with both regret and happiness (figure that out yourself).  I decided to look into livejournal because im at a computer forever during the day, (IT crap, remember) and im not a person who wants to check out the newest stupid video on youtube.  Rather, I checked the Space, checked the mail, the instant messenger, then with humor remembered the livejournal.  Ah, could there still be people journaling....LIVE?  and here you were.  Drop me a line, drop me a tag, drop me your number, sing me a rag - life is so crazy it burns the retinas of your brain.  and the retinas of your eyes, too.

Miss you all, let me know how the sun's out burning you.
-love always,
michael oscar indest, jr.

time passes so slowly you'll miss things
