erin's party was a smashingly perfect kick off to summer.
watermelon & pineapples soaked in vodka suit me just fine.
i will take high temperatures & humidity over winter any day.
i want to go sailing.
mavs playoffs at pluckers rule.
sometimes i wonder what it feel like to be young again. you know, when you listen to bad music and have a crush on the lame jock with the blonde chili bowl haircut. when you are still naive enough to think that maybe he is secretly in love with you. and when that in itself is just thrilling.
i like working at R1 thus far.. because i grew up at that starbucks. my high school group of friends and i, i mean. back when i was that obnoxious 15 year old who ordered mocha frappuccinos until adam had to break the news to me that they weren't real coffee... which was pretty much like telling a kid there's no santa claus.
kind of.
today my essex green autographed CD found its way in my mailbox, which was entirely pleasing.
and i'm quite sad that shampoo and AAA batteries cost me $8.64. shame on walgreens for ripping me off, and shame on me for not going somewhere like dollar tree.
anyway, please go listen to the song in my myspace (www.myspace.com/lesliealevine). because leslie anne levine is a decemberists song, incase you ever wondered and i didn't tell you.
so, this song reminds me of spring 3 years ago.
and hour long drives
and skipping high school classes
and smuggling starbucks into algebra
and scandalous going-ons:
American Football - Never Meant.
let us just forget
everything said
and everything we did
best friends
better halves
goodbyes.
and the autumn night
when we realized
we were falling out of love.
there we some things
that were said
that weren't meant
like never did...
not to be
overly dramatic
i just think it's best
cause you can't miss what you forget.
so let's just pretend
everything and
anything
between you and me
was never meant.
