Date: April 9th, 2000
Setting: The second floor corridor just outside Odin’s room
Status: Public - Newt, Loki (Complete)
Summary: Unfortunately Odin isn’t home
He found number 209 fast enough. The building might be big, but the instructions had been clear and Loki had always had a good sense of orientation. You needed that when you travelled as much as he did.
He knocked lightly on the door - no reaction.
He knocked a little harder - still no reaction.
Either Odin wasn't currently inside, or he was fast asleep. Considering the time, Loki assumed the first, which left him two options: Wait out here, or return later. Neither was overly appealing at the moment. He was tired and sick and wanted to at the very least sit down and there weren't any chairs out here.
There had been chairs in the lobby, though and the hotel ought to have a bar or restaurant. He should probably eat something. He'd had some tea for breakfast, but that was all he'd consumed so far today and he'd thrown up most of what he'd eaten yesterday, but the thought of food was nauseating at the moment.
No, he needed to get inside that room, make himself at home, rest. He'd feel better then.
Not so long ago he'd have turned into a cockroach and crawled in under the door, but lately even a single transformation was so exhausting he'd almost completely given up on using those powers.
With a sigh he let himself slide down the wall opposite the door to wait. The floor wasn't too comfortable, but at least he was sitting.
And then he saw him. A man who practically had 'perfect mark' written all over him just happened to walk into this very corridor. Now if this man also happened to have a master key ...
Loki grinned to himself.
