Date: February 2nd, 2001
Setting: Tadfield Manor, Ellie's room
Status: Private - Ellie, Aziraphale (Complete)
Summary: A reunion, hopefully better than the other.
It was not a small amount of worry that Aziraphale approached the door to Ellie's room.
At least... at least he had written to her, even if he hadn't told her that he would be arriving back. The day before - the argument where he... well, he had expected one, hadn't he? It just had been more forceful than he expected, with his own stubborn rise of temper. The way Crowley had stormed off angrily, and his expression of shock and pain, somewhere under all of that fury, had ensured the angel's lack of sleep last night, tossing and worrying and thinking as he did.
But this day was for Ellie; a chance to catch up with her and speak with her and relieve himself of the worry that she, too, was unwell or hurting. Perhaps she would know why Crowley had been headed to the hospital wing, looking as ill as he had? Or why he hadn't found Gabriel yet, or John Constantine. He had looked for Belial, too, wanting a conversation over a tub of ice cream like old times, but only halfheartedly so far.
(In lighter circumstances, there would be a joke to be made about Aziraphale and his penchant for girlish gossip. But these were not lighter circumstances.)
He knocked, shuffling his feet a little, and fingered the small wrapped gift in his right coat pocket.
