[At first, nothing can be seen except a dark red, bordering on crimson, light, it seems the SFC was covered by a cloth. The cloth shifts away to reveal Liechtenstein, the cloth was part of her dress, sitting on the bed staring, in horror, at her hands. It seems that her hands are on fire, but they don't seem to be doing any damage to her skin ( Read more... )

[Axel's really just looking for a distraction--anything to take his mind off the empty apartment. People on fire is relevant to his interests. With a snap of his fingers, he lets a little fireball sit in his hand and grins a little too widely at the feed.] Oh, hey, we have so much in common.

[At the sound of Axel's voice, she hadn't noticed the SFC was on, Liechtenstein jumps in surprise before looking at the communicator. She stares in amazement when Axel create a little ball of fire, her mouth forms into a little 'o'.]

O-oh! You can control fire too!

Sure can. Is that normal for you, though, or are you another unwitting victim of this week's curse?

[She shakes her head before trying to put out the Sky flame, but to no avail]

Normally, I don't possess any sort of powers. So, the curse caused this.

Seems like you're one'a the lucky ones then, kiddo. [He rolls the fireball around in his palm, then tosses it from one hand to the other before extinguishing it in his fist, smoke curling from between his fingers.] Most people I know weren't given such... useful or entertaining abilities.

[She almost feels disappointed when after the fireball is put out.]

Really? So far, I haven't seen anything really strange. [Apparently, she hasn't seen the people who turned into ponies. After a moment, she closes her hand into a fist in the hopes of the flames going out. To her surprise, after concentrating a bit, the flames turned off] O-Oh! They went out!

[He just kind of laughs.] Maybe it's better you don't see the strange ones. [Or the dangerous, insane ones.]

[He watches as she mimics his movement, closing her fingers, and then nods as she excitedly extinguishes the flames.]

There, see? No big deal. Fire doesn't really deserve the rap it's got--just 'cuz it's kind of unpredictable doesn't make it bad. You've just gotta learn how to read it.

[While she is rather curious about 'the strange ones', Liechtenstein takes Axel word since he seems to be more knowledgeable about the situation]

Fire cane be read? [She looks rather curious] Does that mean you can read fire?

Something like that. Ever watched a fire burn? Flames tell stories too, you know, heh.

Yes, when I was little I used to watch the fire burn. [Granted at the time, the fire was her source for both light and heat]

Well, you can tell all kinds of things about fire if you just pay attention, like what kind of materials it's burning, or how hot it is. People spend too much time being afraid of it and not enough time appreciating or understanding it, if you ask me. Fire doesn't hurt people: stupid people playing with fire hurt people.

Yours looks like it won't hurt you anyway, so I guess that helps.

So anyway, I guess if you need a hand with it while you've got it, gimme a holler; I'm kind of an expert, and education is key. Or something. Got a name, kiddo?

Oh, that does make a lot of sense. [She does vaguely recall the fire acting differently when they use different typeS of wood or tinder]

Oh, thank you very much. I would really appreciate the help. Ah, my name is Liechtenstein. It's a pleasure to meet you, Mister.

[Have kind of a helpless grin.] That's a bit of a mouthful--mind if I call you Sparky? I'm Axel. [And then he waves one hand.] And no Mister--just Axel; got it memorized?

[Her name does sound a bit like sneeze doesn't it? If only she had a shorter name. S-sparky? Well, she's new really had a nickname, but there a first time for everything?]

N-No, I don't mind at all. [She nos] Alright M-Axel, I'll make sure to remember.
