PRIDE

Just saw on my flist a post about the Twilight crew once again coming into town.  As much as I love the actors (and the novels) and the revenue it brings into my city, I am so not looking forward to the crazy twihards.  I just kind of wish the actors would get a little bit of breathing room so that they could enjoy this fine city that I live in.  Alas, I don’t think they’ll get that chance, what between the paparazzi hounding them and the crazy fans screaming and asking for hugs, it’s not surprising they’re not really enjoying themselves.

On a bright note, it’s PRIDE week in Vancouver.  Yeehaw!  My bff is in town with his partner and we are going down to Shine on Sunday night to shake our booties.  I am really hoping that the gods of fate and good fortune shine on me and I’m able to get a babysitter for my little guy since I haven’t gone out dancing in 3 years!!  Mommies are allowed to have their fun too right?  Contemplated making my way down to Davie village but it’s going to be CRAZY and really I’d rather not risk getting my toes crushed by some queen’s stiletto.  I think Gastown will be just as good.  They’ve got some old school going at the club part of Shine.  I love me some old school.

….

Just got off the phone with my other bff, Adrian.  Totally opposite of James (other bff).  Apparently, he’s having a party on Sunday and he says that “it’s going to be off the hook!”  Gah.  I don’t know what to do.  I really just want to stay in town and party with James but I haven’t seen Adrian since the last time we went out just after my wedding back in 2006.  Also, Adrian lives in Squamish which is like an hour away near Whistler and I don’t feel like fucking driving up there when I can hang out in town with James.  What to do, what to do?  Plus this will be the first time the 3 of us have been together since Francisco died.  Gosh, it’s starting to sound like some twisted plot to a fanfic or at least some chick lit novel.  Being a hag is hard!
