I'm having a good "alone night" and am spending it doing something other than just playing a bunch of video games, which is actually nice. First and foremost, erin and i are doing much better. It's funny how much being out of the other persons hair can really enhance two people's relationship. I never would have guessed, but i guess that's why i suck at this. :) not really. The new job isn't too bad. I don't trust my boss or the higher ups, and it's not the greatest pay in the world, but believe me when i say that i have done much much worse. Seriously. So all in all, i'm decently happy with it for the time being. I'm planning on looking for something else in the future, but i'd rather not do that. As much as i don't trust them, i do want to Rich and Mike's new business get off the ground.
In other huge news, i've pretty much decided to go back to school this coming year. I still haven't decided what i want to do yet. Leaning toward the computer sciences, but english or creative writing are a definite possibility. Erin and i are going to sit down in the future and have a good talk about it all.
My tea needs honey...
Ah, good ol' raw honey. No kroger bought shit for my teas. Only natural and local are good enough to cut the...cheese? line? what is that saying? Fuck it.
Erin has been super fuck off busy these past few weeks working on a lot of her final projects. She about 66% done by now, maybe more, and as a result i really haven't seen much of her. She came to the realization that she gets nothing done when she tries to work here at home, so this week she's been spending a lot of her time at the library working on things. It's kind of nice cause i get to hang out here by myself, but it kind of sucks cause i have to hang out here by myself. I miss her but i'm glad she's gone tonight, as i'm really getting to spend some quality time with myself. i went on a music getting binge and have discovered some high quality bands that i am really enjoying right now. It's been so long since i've been on an acquisition spree...it's just a good feeling to get a bunch of music and then just sit here listening to it. I've also spent a good amount of time cleaning up the place, as it really was starting to need it. Goody.
It was my birthday on the third and thanks to the 2 people who noticed on aim and sent a message. Erin and i had a truely wonderful day, and it was definitely one of the best birthdays i've had in years. We went out shopping and she took me out to eat at the Runcible Spoon, which is my favorite resturaunt in town. That doesn't really sound all that exciting, but it was trust me. She got me the special edition of the fellowship of the ring, complete with awesome bookends. I knew i was getting it, as i bought it myself when i was working at fry's but it was still a great gift. She also got me some more jelly braclets. the awesome thing is that these little fuckers are uv reactive which is just bitchin. She knows me too well. She also fixed my watch, but failed to put a new battery in it. i can forgive her. :)
My parents are coming this weekend to celebrate my birthday with me on sunday. More excitingly is that Aunt Betty is coming as well. I haven't seen her in months and i'm really excited to see her. I talked to her on the phone and she sounds so much better, it's just ridicluous (sp). I never would have thought that she had had invasive brain surgery months before. it's just damn amazing, so needless to say i'm really looking forward to seeing everyone. Oh. And the presents. and the cake. yes. excellent.
