It was Chris's 19th birthday and he had managed to arrange to have dinner with Summer, Wyatt and Isabel. Which might not sound like a huge accomplishment, but considering their vastly differing schedules, it was.

At any rate, they decided to go to one of the local Italian restaurants, Acquerello where they had eaten too much and drank two bottles

Isabel had only taken a few tiny sips of wine. Which was more then enough to have her rather cheerful and somewhat giggly for the rest of the evening.

"It was," Isabel agreed, nodding multiple times. "Especially the dessert. The first dessert that is. There'll have to be more later."

"It's my birthday," Chris reminded her. "You're not allowed to traumatize me."

[izzyalienqueen]

"That's not trauma," she giggled. "Trauma would be mentioning details. Like the handcuffs! Or chocolate syrup. You can have lots of fun with chocolate syrup."

Yes, Isabel would going to facepalm a lot when she sobered up.

"Who let you have wine at dinner?" Chris asked, hiding his face in his hands.

"I'm allowed to let loose once in a while," Isabel pouted. "I don't always have to be a stick in the mud."

"You're never a stick in the mud, Isabel," Chris assured her. "You're just usually a little more... discrete."

Except when she was deliberately tormenting him.

"Except I'm usually not drinking wine," she pointed out. "But tonight I did which means my filters are off and I'm rambling."

"It is kind of cute when you ramble," he admitted with a grin.

[izzyalienqueen]

"And when you blush," Isabel countered.

"Oh, is that why you torment me?" Chris asked teasingly.

"Pretty much. Plus it amuses Wyatt," she said, smiling sappily.

"Well, I'm happy to keep Wyatt amused," he said.

"You're the little brother! It's your job." She'd tried that line of reasoning with Max and Michael once. They laughed.

"Oh, is that how that works?" Chris asked. It made him laugh too.

"Absolutely. In the world according to Isabel!"

Wyatt leaned over closer to her. "I got some dessert for you," he murmured.
