"I don't think I like this week," Sam said by way of greeting as he stood by the door.

Chris looked up and smiled. "Yeah, I remember not liking it last year. Come on in."

Sam smiled a little in return as he came in. "I can't imagine what packing is going to be like next year. I've accumulated way too much crap."

"Yeeeeeah," Chris said. "It took me... quite a few trips to get all my stuff to San Francisco. But, hey, if you need help moving, feel free to give me a call."

"I bet you'd be all kinds of helpful," Sam said with a laugh. "Are you excited about getting to go out into the real world now, far from the pointy teeth of gremlins and all?"

Chris groaned a little. "I am definitely not going to miss the gremlins. But, yeah, I'm looking forward to being in the same state as Wyatt again."

"Was it hard, being here without him?" Not that Sam had a specific reason to ask or anything.

"It was weird," Chris said. "But I knew he was always just a phone call away, so it wasn't really hard so much."

"It's going to be really weird without Dean, I think," Sam said. "But I guess it's just something I'll have to get used to. It'll be good for him, and like you said, he's got a phone."

Chris nodded. "But it's got some benefits too. No older brother constantly breathing down your neck."

Of all people, Chris figured Sam would get that. "And, listen, if you ever run into any demonic trouble and need help, call me. I can orb anywhere in an instant."

"That's true. I can get away with a lot more without Dean here," Sam said with a laugh. "And if I have demonic trouble, you'll definitely be on my call list."

"Good," Chris said. "And thank you, by the way. It's been a pleasure working with you."
