Chris was exhausted. And one look out the window was all he needed to know that he wasn't going anywhere today.

He left a message for Dr. Suresh that he wouldn't be in class today and then checked his messages. Summer had told him that no one called Wyatt yesterday, so he was puzzled at the call

Wyatt was feeling better after moping talking to Isabel the night before, and he was glad to see Chris returning his called. "Hey, dude, what's up?" he answered.

"There's some crazy bird creatures attacking the island," Chris said. "So, you know, another day in Fandom. What's up with you? I got your message."

"Just wanted to see how you were doing, we haven't talked in awhile," Wyatt lied.

"Oh, great," Chris lied right back. "Got my college acceptances last week. We're just waiting to see where Summer gets in before we decide what we want to do."

"Cool, where'd you get accepted?" Wyatt asked.

[neurotic_witch]

"Berkeley and UCLA so far," Chris said. "We both want to stay in California. And if we end up in the Bay Area, we'll probably live at the Manor."

"Awesome," Wyatt said. "That'd be cool if you end up in San Francisco." All the better to keep an eye on Chris and make sure he was safe.

"You wouldn't mind having to live with me and Summer?"

Chris was leaning toward it to make sure he could keep Wyatt from going evil.

Wyatt laughed. "Well, technically I have a dorm room, so I'm not always at the Manor," he said. "Except on weekends when Isabel's visiting because it's more private than the dorms."

"How is Isabel?" Chris asked. "Everything going okay?"

[blessed_twice]

"She's fine," Wyatt said. "She got portal-napped last weekend but she just ended up in another Las Vegas."

"Who sent a portal after her?" Chris asked. "That doesn't sound good. Is she okay?"

"She's fine," Wyatt said. "From what I can gather there was some sort of computer error with the portals and they sent a bunch of people to random locations, but everyone got home safely." Don't ask if I did don't ask if I did don't ask if I did.

"Well, I'm glad she's okay," Chris said. "Did you get caught up in that too?"

"...yeah," Wyatt said hesitantly. "No big deal."

Chris sensed his brother's hesitancy. "Where'd you end up?"
