Go Elf Yourself
Good old LiveJournal. I've been writing in here for 5 years now, and 99% of my entries are all private. Thank God, too, because most of what I've written is shallow and stupid.
I'm going to Kauai soon with my family, so I'll be gone for a bit. I thought back to the time I was in DisneyWorld and wrote a quick entry in here every night, and I would like to do that again. It would be neat if I could upload some pictures along the way, so I might try. When I went to Hawaii in 2004, some of my favorite memories were sitting there quietly at night, writing in my journal down at the base of the hotel, which overlooked the ocean. Supposedly, Kauai is much more relaxing and beautiful because it's less commercial than Oahu is.
So for now, I'm keeping what I write public. I love being on vacation, but I always feel that weird need to be connected to home somehow, so coming on and writing is fun. Maybe since it's public, I'll also be forced to focus on more positive, neutral things rather than using this as a venting tool.
I'm going to miss my boyfriend and my bird. I miss my friends now as it is, because I'm so bad at keeping in touch. I really want to start having people over to my apartment once I get back. It looks so pretty, decorated for Christmas. I was sick yesterday, so I took some pictures.

I was also kept pretty busy yesterday with www.elfyourself.com, ever since Laura sent the link to me. This is my parents and I. I think the picture of my Dad that I used is priceless, especially since he is normally a very grumpy looking man and he looks ecstatic in it.
