MAKE HER STOP

OK.
So.
Carol Ann was suffering from jet lag when we returned to California a couple of weeks back. So she would nap early and then go to bed a little later then usual but it wasn't anything to worry over. Then it became a routine. She was napping at 2 or 3 and sleeping for about 4 hours. This started around last week. Adam and I have been having a bitch of a time with her. All three kids go to bed at different times now which is VERY sucky to a rigorously sexually active couple that want to fuck like there's no tomorrow fairly every night. Our baby goes to bed the earliest, around 7:30. Ben goes to bed around 9:00. Carol Ann USED to go to bed at 8:00 but has been able to get herself to stay up later and later and finally last night was the final straw.
She was up until 2:30am.
In bed of course but I was reading to her the ENTIRE FUCKING TIME. Arrrrrrg. I lost my voice completely today and had to sleep in until 11am.
In the REAL WORLD of having kids, you canNOT sleep until 11 fucking am. Except when you have a FABULOUS partner who distracts the kids while I recoperate ad try not to kill anyone.

TWO FUCKING AM IN THE MORNING! For a FIVE year old that should NEVER be. Ben has done it BUT that was under a special circumstane - OUR mother was fucking insane negligent and didn't give a flying fuck about us or our well being. SHE stayed up at weird hours and if Benny was up, so would he.

Anyway...I am about ready to slip this kid some kiddy nyquil or something. Adam divised a plan though and so far, so good. When Carol Ann woke up this LATE morning (11 like me) Adam kept her very busy all day long - out and about - and we had turkey for dinner so Carol Ann got extra sleepy around the same time Ben did ~ 8:45-ish. SHe was out completely by 9:15 - only one book had to be read (Adam thankfully took over this job too)

You know she's only been flying since she was ONE year old so I would like to think that since jet lag has never been an issue for her before that it won't in the future. I don't know what the hell happened. I'm just glad it's receeding.

OK - MY bedtime too.
