I can't believe CNN interrupted live coverage of an ongoing terrorist attack to show 'Anderson Cooper Heroes'. Good job sucking, media.
They were literally showing the beginning of an assault on a building with hostages when they decided regularly scheduled programming should kick in. Of course I think broadcasting actual police actions is pretty stupid, but they were just relaying a local station so if it's going to happen, you'd think maybe that might be more newsworthy than Anderson Cooper's pre-taped show.
These stations sit around for how many hours each day reporting the same nothing news over and over to fill time and then skip away when there's actually something to report on.
