I've never really had much direction career wise, in my GCSE options I just did what I enjoyed - Graphic Design, Textiles and Art, I worked super hard to get out of anything that might be considered academic, I even took Health & Social Care so that I wouldn't have to do a language.
ALevels I took exactly the same path, although I was more focussed on going onto a Journalism degree, Media Studies, Film Studies, Photography and English Language. Since turning down my uni place I've done a lot of dead end jobs and never had really any plans.
This morning I was deep in thought about my future, I love being at home with Declan, but I would really like to study something when I have the spare time, and I'd like to study something that will lead to a job that I love, and then suddenly it hit me, I know what I want to do (and no, it's a bit far fetched so I'm not going to divulge it here!).
So I look it up, discovered that they do exactly what I want at UWS, and then look at the time involved. To do this I need to be accredited, I would need a bachelors and then a masters - five years full time, which I just wouldn't be able to do with children, or nine years part time, which seems like a hell of a long time, nine years is almost half of my life so far! It's something I'd love to do but I just don't think I could put that kind of time into it.
And so now it's back to the drawing board :/
On a totally unrelated note, I swear ESPN is using the Baby Einstein puppets in their promos.
