Hail?

May 29, 2007 19:15

I stepped outside the building for lunch and it started to hail on me.  Heavily.  It's kind of weird walking round looking at everyone being scared of a bit of weather.  People were looking out of windows as if their world was about to suddenly come to an abrupt end.  Or, maybe, that the food from the restaurant was of its standard fare.

People in suits hiding under trees a bare thirty metres from the front door of the building who didn't want to get wet.  Not one jot.  There's something peculiarly funny about someone in a suit standing haunched under a tree carrying a briefcase in May, hiding from a severe hail storm.

Anyways, I got cash form the hole in the wall, walked to the car, and drove to a neighbouring village for a haircut.  On the way it suddenly dried out.  I had to explain that there was a severe hail storm not a mile up the road to the hairdresser.

Can't wait for the snow in June!

hair, hail, suits, mad weather
