bunny trees & weeding

Wow - I swear some deciduous trees are like the bunny rabbits of the tree world - I pull a billion elm sprouts every spring now - and, well all summer & fall .. and in prev. houses it was the maples - just freaking sprouting everywhere. I've also read that's why these trees come back first after a forest fire: they just propagate like crazy bunnies.

so I weeded a forest of new tree sprouts out of my tiny garden patch this morning - it's easiest before the veggie seeds sprout - plus I have a couple starter plants to put in this weekend.
