Here's a photo I took of the mountain we hiked under, called "Broken Top" in central Oregon:

Mom Dad, my big bro Todd, his daughter Isabel & Athena at the trailhead - Aurora too- she's the furthest ahead - that's Broken Top again in the background.



Here is where the trail crossed a mountain stream & the kids got help crossing the rocks over the water.



Here Athena wanted to wash her hands in the stream like the big girls did, so Grandpa helps her reach the water



Here Grandma Freya helps Aurora & Isabel wade in the stream a little bit to rest their feet & enjoy the cold water running down from the mountains (If you look carefully at the original mountain photo you can see the stream running down from the snowpacks).
