You know, I tried to space this out. Read a part a day.

Couldn't do it. Read it all in one big gulp!

Thanks for putting the boys back together again.

Thanks for putting the boys back together again.
You're very welcome, Anne - thank you for reading and commenting. It's been a strange year and the ending of Mephisto is an expression of that, I think. I don't normally do anything remotely unresolved like that and I was pretty desperate to get them back together again too. I'm glad Redux worked for you. Hope you didn't get indigestion :o)

Not a big slash fan, but the Mephisto Affair left me dazed and bordering on tears; was so pleased to start this casually tonight and then realise it was the sequel to those one whose name I had forgotten. Could not stop reading. Still sniffing, but happier! Well done.

Oh dear - sniffies :o( Here - have a tissue *g*. Thank you for reading and letting me know how you feel about both stories. I'm glad they worked for you - despite provoking a tear or two ;o)

Your six months later epilogue to the Mephisto Affair really was something; probably bordering on genius! Could not get it out of my mind, it was such a well-worked twist at the end.
It probably works better as two stories a timespan apart; it would have been ordinary if they had got back together at the end of the Mephisto Affair whereas, this way, the readers have been suffering with them separately all this time!

*g* All part of my evil plan ;o) I agree that it would have weakened the impact to have immediate resolution. Glad you liked the twist - thank you for your lovely comments.

I am so happy that you have written this wonderfully paced sequel. I suffered with the situation at the close of the prequel and so it won't be surprising that these lines contain my favourite image -

"His partner swam powerfully around the boat, disappearing and reappearing as he watched. He’s playing, thought Napoleon, and sighed with relief as long months of almost unbearable strain began to trickle away."

Thank you :o) I definitely had unfinished business with the boys at the end of Mephisto and I'm glad you feel the sequel worked.

Illya and water, eh? Mmm...

It's good to be back Hon. And may I kidnap your icon? Glad I got your attention. May I now be forgiven for the ending of Mephisto...? *bg*
