So, as is the custom, the weekend was too short but fun nonetheless. I started it off Friday going downtown to meet Mario and his co-workers for a farewell send off. Went to Uno’s where our DB of a server ripped us off. I know that wasn’t Grey Goose in my glass, but he was giving the impression that he was giving us the hook-up on it so I didn’t complain…then I got the bill for a grey goose drink…not happy. He was such a douche too! He had a picture of himself on his phone of when he was skinny and in football in high school…which by the look of him was at least 5 years ago! Okay Al Bundy! Glory days are over. I could just see some guy hitting on me showing me how he used to look. I’d be like…well, if that guy had hit on me maybe, but since it’s you, no thanks.
The night carried over to City Streets, we didn’t end up going to the comedy club, because everyone was pretty content where we were. I got to try the new Three Olives Bubble Gum and Root Beer flavors…Yum!
Saturday, woke up, got some new songs on itunes and put them on my ipod, then went to the gym to try them out. Got a phenomenol workout in. Back and Abs, and 45 minutes on the elliptical. Crushed my goal RPMs by 200! Got home with hardly any time to get ready for the game. Got ready, aunt and uncle picked us up, went to the game, ate some ultimate nachos for Linner. Even after some dork working a kiosk where maybe the cash registers were down told us they all only took cash…at which point I said “Really? Jerry Jones created this state of the art stadium, shelled out for the largest screen, and couldn’t get registers that take credit cards in the year 2009?” the kid said I guess so…he was wrong, which was awesome because we were so hungry. Got home and watched some tv from the DVR (Project Runway, and an old SNL).
Sunday, got up, got ready to meet DZ girl in Arlington. Met her for lunch, we had a nice chat, and I told her to contact me for anything she needed. Got to Southlake an hour early for work, so I walked around a bit. Talked myself out of buying some shirts at AE because I knew what I wanted and they weren’t quite it…made my way down to Gap…nothing…Banana…eureka! Why do I even bother? Found a shirt to go with the shorts I bought a few weeks ago. I may have to go back to AE to buy that hoodie though. Got to Sylvan and tutored for two hours. Went home, went grocery shopping, bought rotisserie chicken for dinner. Watched some of the Broncos/Bears game along with the daytime emmys. Then my favorite ever, caught Planet Earth on Discovery and set some to record…have that to look forward to.
Went to bed…couldn’t sleep, a trend that’s been going on for a week or so. I had this problem a few years back for a long time, I really hope it goes away. Didn’t wake up to work out because I was so tired. Came into work, still no work to do…really nervous about that. Mario had to cancel lunch because he has a conference call. Tonight I’ll need to get in a workout even if its just Jillian.
Just realized Sylvan hadn’t been direct depositing for the past two months and my “paystubs” were actual checks. So now I need to try and find those supposed paystubs. I don’t typically pay attention to those checks because its extra and with July being a three paycheck month, I didn’t notice. I usually look at the big checks, and see balance and what’s gone through, and what needs to go through, and what to pay or is still in transit to be paid. Hopefully I find all of them, although I don’t even remember getting the stubs at work for the last two. The checks would be great for Mario’s spending money in Vegas in a couple of weeks, and the shoes I want to buy. Need to find time to go by DSW. You’d think it wouldn’t be a big deal since its right across from the town center…but I always forget.
Tomorrow I will be getting us our weekly cheesecake indulgence from cheesecake factory…thank goodness for their low-carb one, it is so good. I should just break down and buy a spring form pan and make my own…but where’s the fun in that?
Already looking forward to the weekend. In reverse order: No work Monday (maybe a movie), Darice’s Sunday night, no work Saturday, Mario’s birthday Friday…was going to surprise him with something else even after the game, but then I remembered he was going to Vegas and didn’t feel compelled anymore. Need to make reservations for Texas de Brazil, oh and buy a card…the man loves his cards!
