(no subject)
The last 24 hours have been give and take.
- I think I broke my sewing machine. I do not feel like inspecting or repairing quite yet.
+ I can at least crochet.
- I was washing my face, knocked out my nose stud, and washed it right down the drain. I never even felt it, I just noticed when I went to dry off and there was nothing there.
+ Somewhere I think I have a tiny barbell, so when David comes home we can put that in if the hole's not closed yet. If I can find it.
- My freaking car is not working properly either. The ignition is sticky somehow and the key won't turn. I called my brother, then my mom, then Erin, then finally C to ask how to hotwire it because I HAVE PLACES TO GO. (I was stuck at a pump at the gas station, couldn't move the car because the wheel was locked, and Nick's plane was coming in and I was WAY late.) Turns out Volvos have some anti theft thing so even if I was good at hotwiring, I would not likely be able to make it work. C told me to jerk the wheel as hard as I could back and forth, while trying to turn the ignition. I couldn't manage, but David could once his work finally let him come help me. He got it started but clearly it would be a two person deal if I needed to do it, so I have to drive the truck. =\
+ The car kinda works? I'm trying to do pluses for minuses here, I needed something.
- The car malfunction made me too late to get Nick, so he had to take the train.
+ I picked him up at the train station and he's sleeping now. =D
I am going to call Sascha later and see if his car works, then offer to pay for gas if we can take it to Amsterdam tomorrow. Otherwise, Nick and I will have to practice our two-person car starting technique tonight so as to be prepared in the morning.
Can you tell I am bored? I have made quite a few entries lately. I want my machine to work but I am too upset with it to work on it right now. =(
