Thank you everyone for your thoughts and kind words.
Everyone was discharged from the hospital last night. I picked them up at about midnight and my sister and I took everyone to my mom's house. My cousin has a fractured arm and took a hit to her head from behind by the washing machine so hard that she bit through her lip and her tooth broke off and lodged in it, my aunt and uncle are beat up as fuck, the babies took a really hard hit from the freezer, but are okay other than some minor bruising (I feel so lucky about that), any my other cousin just has some scrapes and bruises. Uncle Patrick basically ran in and threw himself on top of everyone, I hate to imagine the damage to the kids if he hadn't. They ended up outiside and separated when it was over.
Their trailer is gone. Everything. One of my uncles-in-law began rummaging yesterday to round up what he could and managed to find their purses (which is good; all those cards are hard to replace), all the guns (yes, my family is a redneck family), and some photo albums. The water company still hasn't been out there and water is spurting everywhere ruining what wasn't ruined by the tornado. The propane tanks are alright too. We were worried about them being damaged and then causing explosions. Amazingly their vehicles made it out relatively unscathed. Other than a missing windshield on one car, and a missing driiver's side window on the the pickup they're fine. The dogs are okay too. Well, one is missing and we think a neighbor took it to the the vet.
There were three trailers and two brick houses in their neighborhood. Even the brick houses are gone. Today we're going to work on getting them some basics. The hospital gave them care bags with basic items in it. I dug out several pairs of shoes and boots from my closet (ones that are newish) and pjs and stuff like that. I can't imagine how it would feel to lose everything I owned.
