stop building bridges, and drive off of them

it's never a proper homecoming without an update on LJ about my weekend. Gawd I'm pathetic. Oh, and it'll be long. Happy Reading!!

Well, first I should bust out 2 pictures that turned out from the successful Sex Toy Party. I say successful, but I think in all honesty that Kel and I purchased more than the entire group of girls together. Geez, we're either sex fiends or kinky freaks (as Devin called me -- I remembered!) So, without further adieu,

This is Joscelyn and "Jane"...I think Jos is a little uncomfortable, but Stacy in the background offers support and technique:

This would be me in restraints. Yeah, I like bondage ; )

...actually, I was the 'chosen one' to demonstrate. Hey, I'm always up for fun!!

So that was that. Onto Saturday-Sunday...

Got to Whitehall around 1ish and immediately headed for the Skee to visit my Grandma and the girls. My mom and my sister happened to be there, so that was a bonus. Talked a lot, ate some food, yadda yadda. My sister was extremely friendly and even wanted to give me a hug since we "haven't seen each other in forever!!" according to her. It's nice to get along. I felt uncomfortable though, because my grandma decided to pull out all the stops and lecture me. Note to others: it's not cool when your grandmother a) tries to prove a point about college, but has no idea what she's talking about and won't listen to a word you say; b) asks you if you really ARE pregnant when you tell a funny dream you've had recently; c) asks you -in front of your mother, sister, and extremely young cousins- if you are in love with your boyfriend, and if you are you should tell him, show him, make it known, etc. I was speechless and couldn't believe she put me on the spot like that!! Oh well.

Stopped into FV33 for a bit, and 2 of my favorite employees were working. AKA Mike Hotwagner & Denise. Chatted it up for a while, missed working there, and learned of Mike's move to good 'ole CMU in January!

Came home, ate homemade wonderful tacos, and learned of my new job at Aeropostale in the Midland Mall! Woot! Today I found out that it includes a 30% discount. Fuck Yes I'm Excited!

Drove in the dark and the rain -my least favorite combo- to Devin's house where we talked with his mom until we left for his friend Derek's house in Grand Haven for his 21st birthday bash at The Eagles. It was pretty fun. Here are some things I learned:
1) guys love football more than anything in the entire world. if they can't watch it or play it with all the pads and dirt and grime, they will find other options, such as making a paper football and making up a fictional football game with a table as a field and fingers as field goals.
2) anyone's mother is hilarious while intoxicated. add dancing to a live band to this and it's even more funny. add trying to be responsible and keeping people who hate each other away from each other while balancing the art of photographing her son's 21st birthday memories and you've got hysterical laughter.
3) pretzels sober you up. or so says Derek's dad.
4) it takes Derek 15 minutes to be T-RASHED. Geez, and I thought I was pathetic.
5) guys follow each other's lead when it comes to their girlfriends. if one puts their hand on her thigh or holds her hand while walking, the others will too, in a domino-like fashion.
6) your boyfriend will do anything in his power to claim you as his. even if it means giving a guy a dirty look without the guy acknowledging it.
7) Eric Zattlin is a pig. He uses the same lines and techniques on every girl. He also will deny ever proposing sexual intercourse in an MCC bathroom with any girl.
8) old men in either an oversized white cowboy hat or a crotched (cro-shayed is the pronounciation) orange hat are extremely amusing.

After the party, went to Devin's to hang out, came home and slept.

Woke up, did the birthday celebration shindig with the sibs, scooped up Kel, came to MtP, drove to Midland, filled out paperwork, drove back to MtP, and here I sit. Hope you liked this entry. I did.
