So my sister got a call from my aunt and she got a call from my mom, and she is back at the VA again because she had another relapse. I'm sick and tired of my mom ruining her life over drugs when obviously they are not the answer to anything. She just graduated from college and I don't think she even made it to her own graduation because she was in rehab. Plus she just recently got a job and lost it also. I don't know what is going to make her see that drugs are stopping her from preceeding forward. She's homeless, doesn't really have any friends that I know she can rely on within the city because she doesn't talk to anyone anymore. Not only that both me and my sister got out at the right time. I still think about how I could of been screwed if I decided to stay in the same house with her then I would of been homeless and felt lost. But enough with sad bad news, I can't emotionally or physically help her she has to want to help herself and get out of the situation that she is in and its a lot deeper than someone who is mentally sound can help.
On a lighter note, I had a lot of fun in my spanish class. I really enjoy the fact that she really gets the class interested in the work and interested with studying spanish as a second language. I still feel intimidated with speaking in front of the class when we have to say a full length sentence. Its complicated to figure out which way to construct them so they are gramitically and numbered sound. What I mean by number sound is you have to match the verb with the subject. If your talking with a plural verb the subject needs to be plural as well. That also goes with the basis of the sentence from just using the female and male verb. Considering us as Americans we really dont differetiate female from males except when we are talking about a person or a animal. Other than that clothes and other non living things do not have a sex. So today she was looking all over the class for volunteers for sentences about clothes and to describe your mom and dad and best friend. So when we had to count the many students that were wearing particular clothes we had to say the full length sentence with the question. So I felt like she set me up with the longest and more complex sentence because I had to count almost the entire class and see how many people were wearing shirts.
The trick part was that I had to count all of them in spanish and not english and she made sure that I counted them in Spanish. So it was 16 or how its written in spanish is diez y seis. Then I had to put that number in a structured sentence, so as Im trying to answer the sentence I kept thinking about how I would contruct it so that made it even harder and personally I hate being the center of attention in an area that I am not comfortable with. So she was telling me what to say and how to construct the sentence as well as wrote it on the board for everyone to get a read on how to answer the question. So the final sentence was En las clase de espanol, diez y seis estudianten llevan camiseta. After that she started teaching all the students how to roll their tongues so when we have to say a work with two r's we can roll are tongues but for some people I already know they are going to struggle on that a lot.
