Haha! a new post!
Sadly, posting on my lj is now something I can do at work.
I say "sadly" because I don't actually have anything to do. I've even been outgoing and have asked my boss if there is anything I can be working on, but he just tells me that he doesn't have anything for me to do, but he'll ask other people.
So I've gotten a bit bored.
I have been playing around with C# a bit (a programming language) and have learned quite a bit aboaut it. I got it to do nifty things like copy and paste cells in a table, connect to a database, make a nifty GUI (Graphical User Interface, a windows, buttons and controls that most people take for granted when they use a computer). I kindof got off base a little though and need to get back to what I wanted the program to do in the first place: my job. Well, the job that I just finished but will need to be done again sometime in the future by some individual in my position. All this web surfing has gotten to my mouse hand as well, so I had to buy a bean bag to rest my wrist on. my poor poor wrist.
I did tell my boss that I would like to be on the developer team rather than the support team, He said that he hadn't considered that before, but would talk with the supervisors of both team to see what they thought. They have been looking for developers for a little bit and hadn't even looked at me. I was hoping that moving me to the developer team would be obvious since I am a CS major, have had lots of expierience with web programming in both PHP and ASP(languages used for websites) , have done everything so far with scripts, and have been playing with C# in my down time. But oh well. At least I brought my hopes to light, If I hadn't then I wouldn't even have a chance of being on the developer team. Although if they had thought about me but hadn't said anything yet, It would probably be a bad sign.
Right now I'm planning on visiting Katie with Phil, Jen doesn't seem to want to go, I'm not sure why. She doesn't have anything else to be doing, she only works M, T, W, is done with school, doens't really do anything else. But hopefully she'll come. We'll just be down saturday and will return sunday morning because Katie has to work. Then I should be picking up Sarah at the airport in the evening an will have a fun week and a half with her.
