Yearly evaluation

Mar 06, 2007 09:59

It's time for the yearly evaluation of my work by my supervisor. I'm nervous about this.

On one hand, I'm new to this post, I have little experience and I lack a long-range view of things. And there is surely a lot I'm not aware of going on in this company.

On the other hand, I do have some stuff I'd like to discuss openly with my higher-ups. But while this is supposed to be the perfect place to air them, I'm not sure it would be very politic to do so. Truth is not always rewarded.

So I'm asking those of you with more experience. Should I be open and forthright or shut up and take it, at the risk of them walking all over me?
