Daylight Savings Time

I don't like Daylight Savings Time. Sure, it's nice to have more light in the evening, but adjusting to getting up an hour earlier is the pits. This is especially true when things go from being light in the morning to darkness. There is also the problem with the cats.

Gypsy and Dio were confused, but happy yesterday morning when they were fed an hour earlier. They had learned that the alarm going off means I'll get out of bed to feed them, but they also seem to have learned about what amount of light outside means the alarm will go off. I guess Gypsy decided that this disruption means he can try to get me to feed him when he wants food.

Gypsy always wants food.

For his part, Dio has learned how to get under the covers of the bed without me noticing. This also has the effect of causing me to roll over onto my left side, which suits him fine as he can snuggle into my tummy. Unfortunately, it isn't so good for my left shoulder. The pain will wake me up, I have to shift my body, and Dio become indignant and leaves.
