(I can think of some counterexamples, but all from sf books, hmmm....)
The harsh reality is that among black/white interracial marriages, black-male/white-female couples outnumber white-male/black-female couples by a ratio of something like eight to one.
The reasons for this discrepancy are debated among sociologists. Charles Herbert Stember, in Sexual Racism (very interesting book), concluded that it was due to "the attitudes of both groups". Others have blamed white racism. But recent "speed dating" studies have found that college-age black women are much more likely to be opposed to dating someone of another race than college-age white men are.

Well, and that's pretty much what I expected. But my guess is that in the media representation of black-male/white-female couples outnumber white-male/black-female couples by a ratio more like 200 to one - a whole higher order of magnitude.
There are certainly exceptions, though. Even in the movies - again, SF comes to mind (Strange Days).
I'm curious, if you know, how many couples getting married in this county are inter-racial. Do you keep track?

And don't forget Serenity/Firefly.
Or Die Another Day, who can forget Halle Berry and Pierce Bosnan.
