Well, September is here and Wedding Season is back in swing...
So I had a wedding a couple of weeks ago, I liked the cake, but didn't get the pictures posted. I'm afraid I don't remember the cake flavors bad me. I loved the flowers though.
A late breaking wedding reception for a couple who got married at the courthouse. Though a single tier, they did it the whole way - White Almond Vanilla with Fresh Lemon Curd and Fresh Raspberries, iced in Standard Buttercream Can I just say, I love lemon curd and fresh raspberries. I know, I'm going to cholesterol hell.
The second cake of the day was at a far flung retreat. White Almond Vanilla filled with a simple buttercream, Chocolate Cake with Mocha icing filling, Sweet Potato Cake filled with Cream Cheese Icing all iced in standard buttercream. I'm getting to think that I really like sunflowers on cakes.
Last cake of the day at the Carolina Inn. Three tiers of Chocolate with Soft Chocolate Ganache Butter cream and the bottom tier of Golden Butter with fresh sliced strawberries and strawberry cream cheese.
This week, five weddings, don't ask, I'm already tired
