weekend in review
Well, Not much to say. I had a pretty crappy weekend. It started Friday during the day, when my manager gave me a high priority case (a P1 as it is known in the biz). I worked most of the afternoon on this issue, then it was decided that I needed to call into a bridge at 10pm. So I drove home, prepared for the con call at 10, which lasted until 12:30am. (Nevermind that I wake up at 6 and worked a full day.)
Fast forward to Saturday and Sunday, and I was pretty much on con calls all weekend, analyzing log files, recreating the problem, etc. So in short, no weekend for me.
Oh yeah, and I got paged Sunday night right before dinner from a big customer in Sweden on another P1 issue.
Sigh. I am exhausted. Luckily this does not happen often and I'll probably get some comp days and hopefully a small monetary bonus for my work. And in truth, this is why I get paid as it is my job. But still, it is crappy and I am tired.
I am in the office now, hopefully it will be quiet since today it is a holiday for a lot of companies.
