Err
Spring break is coming to an end. As all my breaks go, I try to do as little as possibly, but everything always seems to happen. This one was no difference. Maybe next break, I'll rent an island and go stay there. The island would probably end up being a peninsula with no sharks and only two pair of shorts. Well, Cambodian New Year's is fast approaching. So as I look back at the previous year, I realize that I haven't been far from what I was last year. So my theory of how people stay the same stayed the same. I think people only appear to change just because of their scenery or surroundings. I don't think people can be changed, that's just like changing the size of your heart. Everybody is born with a certain amount of characteristics. It is how we use these characteristics that determine who we are. Enough of that rambling. So Americans have this thing called a New Year's resolution. Well, I hate to break it to all the Americans, but Cambodians do not have any problems. Hence, we do not need New Year's resolutions. Well since i have been cultured, my New Year's resolution is to know what I'm doing. As I have looked back at decisions I have made, and especially to those I've made recently, I feel like I don't even take account into anything. Pretty big decisions with little thought process. Maybe I should trust myself with these things and not think twice. A Cambodian proverb once said, the more you think, the poorer you get. Cambodian people must think a lot. Since I am a man now, I can no longer be a boy. I like being a boy. I was never really accountable for anything. Mistakes were forgiven, immaturity was accepted, and a total lack of common sense was deemed complete. So as the new year approaches, I think more of a gentleman I will be become. And no, this time I'm not considering changes to myself just to get chicks. The time has come and gone. It's not that I never understood girls. I never understood myself. I have now found meaning, and it's far more than any girl can mean.
