What do I look for in a friend.

Things have been happening to me lately to make me think about what I look for in a friend.

I mean, what is a friend to most people?? I think a friend to most people is someone they enjoy the company of. To me this quality is not something i look for, rather a by-product of other good qualities they may posses.

But really.... what do I look for in a friend?

What I look for in a friend is someone who will have my back when i need them. Not someone who will be compassionate and ask if I'm okay when i scape my knee's, but rather someone who will give me a hand up, metaphorically speaking. Not someone who will tell me, we'll get you a new dog, but someone who will help me find my old one.

That is the most important quality to me.

I can look past other things, like if they blew me off, got mad and spoke shit about me, didn't talk or see me for months, or forgot my birthday, but not that.

Dunt get me wrong, askin if i;m okay is not a bad thing to do, its just i'd rather have a person know "yeah he's hurt let's help him outta this", then someone who just talks about how they care for me, rather then doing something about it, cuz it takes an effort.

Thats what i view a friend as.
