What: The final battle.
When: Unknown.
Where: Deep within the Caverns of Erebus.
The Caverns of Erebus tunneled deep beneath Baal's Netherworld, down into the shadows of the planet itself. The crystalline structures bounced light from wall to wall, illuminating what would otherwise be pitch blackness.
"...heh..."
But it was not only light that bounced between the cavern walls: every footstep, every breath echoed throughout the entire system. The earth itself was filled with the Devourlord's voice.
"...hehehehehehehehe..."
Normally, this area was filled to the brim with powerful monsters just waiting to devour an unwary traveler. Now, however, the caverns were empty: silent, save for the mad laughter of a single teenage girl.
"-haaaaaahahahahahahahahaha-"
Those who came to stop her traveled through the tunnels, walking in a group with weapons at the ready. The cavern's emptiness soon became apparent: as the laughter grew closer and closer, corpses of demons both monster and humanoid littered the walls, floor, ceiling. Some had been slain by sword thrusts, others appeared to have been blown away; still others seemed to have died from nothing at all.
"AAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!"
And at the end of it all in a large, open cavern was a single teenaged girl, lazily sitting on a black throne and chuckling to herself. The Devourlord crossed her legs, resting her head on her fist as she surveyed the new arrivals.
"Well, glad I got that out of my system."
