She was still upset with Mao, and thus didn't really trust herself to say anything at the moment. The moon rabbit deliberately avoided so much as even looking at him.

Firstly he knows he's getting in the way of something revolving around that girl. Secondly, Reisen's mad at him. That was bad.
Third, Reisen's mad at him.
Fourth? There was no fourth!
Fifth? Reisen's mad at him. That was really bad.
Unfortunately, having the emotional grace of a drunken rock meant he had no idea how to solve this quandrum. His only thing to make sure that Konoka knew what it meant to look after her guardians was to only pick off what she couldn't handle... and with any hope he could find the right phrase to get Reisen not mad at him.
Unfortunately that won't be a long time coming.

"I made this after Mao and I finished researching Revya's battle ground," Rita told Konoka. "It tracks the energy left by Revya's powers... at least, it should. It's still a prototype, so I'm not sure how well this will work yet, but its better then nothing."
She then turns to Reisen and Mao. "Would you two stop sulking and get your act's together?!"

"I'm getting a signal," Rita says. "It seems to be coming from a cave near the Onsen. It's not revya, since the power reading is only slight, so it must be Kyoko. Lets go!"

Her lover's spat with Mao didn't matter right now. For the time being, she needed to help Konoka and Setsuna however she could. She could worry about how she felt about Mao after things were back to relative normality.

...and her gut feeling, which just so happened to get a lot stronger as she approached this cave. It took all of her strength to keep from rushing headlong just to make sure her guardian was okay.
However, she was still leading the way, so she marched inside, with the others following.

"Sorry, I got lost on the road of life doods," said Prinny, quoting Kakashi for some odd reason. "Find anything yet dood?"

But then, she remembered that she had basically 'taken' the prinny from Etna's clutches not too long ago. She couldn't help but smile slightly.
"I think we're getting close," Reisen replied, "I appreciate you coming with us."

Like all Prinnies, they had a deep ingrained sense of self-preservation wrought from being explosive if mishandled. But Prinny had faced an incredible mounting of impossible odds in his attempt to save his entire crew. And that loyalty was hard-earned, even in the Netherworld. It didn't come out of a fear of Etna though that was part of it.
No. Prinny was a Protector, with a capital P.
He was totally unaware however how much he would be tested for that today.

"Better put those stats to good use. It won't be friendly anymore from here on in," Mao leered at the Prinny. However, when he noticed Konoka stopped, so did he. "Huh?"
"What are you staring at, yuri girlie?"

There was a rifle demon, and it was drinking what looked like an essence of Revya's plasma bombs.
And it sure as hell wasn't happy to see them.
Konoka blanched when the Rifle demon snarled and aimed its gun at her. She screamed as last minute evasive maneuvers kept her from losing her head--literally. Lacking capability to fight, however, she could only tense herself as the lumbering demon moved forward to the group, readying another attack...

The moon rabbit shook the thought from her head, pointing her 'gun hand' at the demon and sending a barrage of danmaku flying at it.

"... I suspect I will need to be appraised to the situation in a minute here."
Eirin smiled, walking up towards Reisen, bow in hand. "But for now, it's time I helped my student."
