Almaz sat in one of the stools. He certainly wasn't used to coming to places like this, but this was certainly a welcome break after his attempts at finding a way to get out of here and his less-than-peaceful job. He sighed at the thought of the latter. Though he had been a guardsman in the human world, he had never done any actual guarding. Needless to say, he was ill-experienced in this new line of work.

Another sigh followed and Almaz took another drink from his glass of water. The bartender had been understandably reasonable at his request to get one, at least as far as demon bartenders went. He looked around and saw a few persons directing their sights at him. Though he did not enjoy this, it was certainly to be expected; Almaz was barely of age to enter a place like this, having eighteen years of age to his name. For a moment, he wondered if there were even any age restriction laws in the Netherworld. After all, he demons could also be looking at him due to his unusual race.

Taking another sip, Almaz looked to his side, noticing a rather loud individual making an announcement. This was followed by a prinny bartender handing him three glasses of a drink Almaz was not familiarized with, but was sure to have alcohol in it. Almaz did not have any objections to people drinking the substance, but he considered himself far too calm to risk his senses to it. He pointed this out to the demonic penguin in a much more brief fashion and thanked it for the gesture. The prinny looked at him like the pathetic fool he had made out of himself. You knew you were in trouble when prinnies started taking pity on you.

Asking for another glass of water, Almaz looked to his side again and took note of the necromancer he had met some time ago. He had not met him on his offer to take part on his 'vision quest', despite the fact that he had said he would. Though it would have been reasonable to assume Almaz chickened out, the reason to it was actually the fact he had gotten a dangerous job that consisted of fending off very frequent robbery attempts, therefore robbing him of a good deal of his time. Taking all this information in, Almaz wondered if it was safe to talk to the man. He decided to risk it, waving at him in casual fashion.

Orpheus glanced over and noticed the kid waving at him. Thinking back, he seemed to recall him from the evening with the tea and the vision quests. "Ah, Almaz was it? What brings you to to this fine establishment this evening?"

Glancing down at the pile of free drinks in front of Almaz, he realized the obvious answer to his own question, "Ah, drinking away your troubles, is it? Have you some weight upon your soul you wish to forget, if only for a few short hours? I understand."

The hero nodded at Orpheus mentioning his name. He had to admit he actually felt a small amount of joy at the fact someone he didn't know had remembered who he was. "Well, I guess 'drinking away my troubles' is right, though I don't know how well it works with water... I guess I just needed to rest a bit after everything that has happened in the last month."

After saying this, Almaz looked at the sparkling crystal water as if it reminded him of something. He let out a sigh. "Actually, it's... Haha... Not actually what I'm trying to forget as much as what I'm trying to remember..." He continued, his calm yet cheerful nature betraying his currently sorrowful mind. Of course, Almaz was trying to not lower the joyful mood that seemed to be enveloping the room, so he didn't really mind the fact that he appeared his normal collected self. He quickly changed the subject to avoid elaborating on what he had just said. "Umm... If you don't mind me asking, are you here for any specific reason?"

Orpheus waved in the general direction of the fire witch. "This lovely young lady has kindly agreed to pay for drinks for everyone, as I see you have noticed. I merely arrived to join the festivities. For some reason the barkeep seemed reluctant to give me the drink I wanted, but I eventually got it, and here I am."

"Haha. Yes, I know what you mean..." Almaz replied to the last part of Orpheus' statement as he signaled to his own glass of water. "I guess I'm just not the type of person that parties that much." He stated truthfully. The hero turned to look at he the crowd of individuals gathered in the room and gave a small smile. "Well, I guess being here is not really that bad... At least we are able to talk to new people..." For a moment, he considered asking the sorcerer about his life and just what he was in his original world, but reconsidered upon thinking that he didn't even know the most basic of facts about him. "Um, this is sort of embarrassing, but... I don't think I caught your name last time..." Almaz said sheepishly.

Orpheus did a mental jig, he always liked doing his intro. He put on his best ominous face, "Orpheus. I am known to mortals as Dr. Orpheus!"

Almaz sympathized with the sorcerer. Like Orpheus, he quite enjoyed delivering a grand entrance along with his dignified name. However, this was usually reserved to when he was trying to look like a fearless, unflinching hero, and seeing as Orpheus had already seen his true colors...

Almaz merely nodded at the man in front of him with his typical smile. "Nice to meet you, Dr. Orpheus. So, um, if you don't mind me asking, what world are you from? I'm from the human world!" He said. Perhaps he was from the human world as well, in which case it would be a lot easier to explain his current dillemma. However, it was probably unsafe to make such assumptions. Most of the people he had seen kidnapped were originally from a place called 'Earth', to which he was completely unfamiliar with. Still, he figured that Orpheus must have had a story of his own as well, no matter which world he was from. Perhaps he was not the only one with a specific reason to go back to his own world.
