It's midnight and, once again, time for the news!
Feral Demons Rampage in the Castle!
Due to reasons currently unknown, non-sentient, angry, and generally unpleasant feral demons have made their home throughout the castle. The sentient, intelligent, and generally unpleasant demons who work as guards, knights, and the janitorial staff are no where to be found; however, several eyewitness claims suggest these feral demons ARE the missing castle staff!
How this could be possible is currently unknown, but it is strongly suggested you do not leave your rooms. Since, well, DAMN, do you really want to deal with that crap? I don't. I'm staying in here 'til this blows over. The break room's got bagels.
SCIENCE Takes the Netherworld by Storm!
With the passing of a recent bill through the
Dark Assembly, interest in SCIENCE has reached an all-time and surely temporary high! Once bullied by jocks and forsaken by all things female, scientists are now in charge of the Netherworld. To investigate this strange occurence, we have contacted none other than Doctor B.T., the personal scientist to His Lord of Terrorship himself, Overlord Baal.
The mysterious and horrendously-dressed man had the following to say in regards to the recent string of strange events:
"This is all simply a series of wholly unrelated and coincidental accidents. The Overlord's guests should not be alarmed. My staff are taking care of the situation as we speak."
He went on to suggest the following in regards to dealing with the strange events:
-"Avoid leaving your room. It makes watching you har--er, it's dangerous outside your rooms with the feral demons."
-"If you find yourself falling asleep and then waking up in a different place, different clothes, or something else out-of-place, don't worry about it."
-"When given medicine by strange men in white coats, eat it. It's medicine, so it must be good for you!"
-"No, you don't have a chip in your neck."
How these vague and in no way suspicious suggestions could possibly help is beyond me, but I'm not the overly-paid scientist. Hell, I'm not even sure if I get paid. At least not in anything aside from old bagels and muffins.
Speaking of which! Over to Pleinair, who should be currently hoarding the break room bagels for our
attempt at hiding away until this whole mess blows over!
[When the TV cuts over to Pleinair, she is shooting several rampaging feral Rifle Demons and Dragon Zombies while protecting a pile of break room wares. They're all killed with one shot each without being able to lay finger, claw, or any other appendage on the girl.]
[Out-of-Character Event Info!
If you have ever heard of one of the many, many roleplays that involve constant experimenting on the characters, then you'll be one step ahead for this.
First off, the rampaging demons throughout the castle are, indeed, the many, many demons who used to live there like the characters themselves. For reasons which we will not reveal yet, they have lost all sentience and intelligence and are beastly, violent killing machines. Feel free to have your characters skilled in fighting kill off however many or whatever types of demons you'd like, but try to keep it realistic.
Secondly, feel free to have your characters notice strange, out-of-place things when they wake up; some examples include: waking up in the wrong beds, strange aches in odd places, wearing clothes they did not go to bed in, remembering having odd dreams involving men in white coats, or feeling as though they got a poor night's rest. This is all because the characters WILL be experimented on while they sleep by scientists in white coats.
Thirdly, in regards to the experiments: if your character has any strange qualities (like subconscious powers, powers they try to hide, or repressed emotions, insanity, or memories), feel free for them to become...far more prominent as a result of the scientists' curiosity. Any strange technology or magic (such as the Red vs. Blue characters' Mjollnir armor, Sasuke's Sharingan, or Chrona's Black Blood) may be toyed with in any sort of way.
Unlike the previous noir event, this will not be 'alternate universe' or 'AU'. Your characters' will not think they're in some strange alternate universe like before.
If you have any questions about the event or about something you'd like to do with a character but not sure if it would be allowed, feel free to ask here. You can have the effects on your characters from this event be either entertaining or serious, depending on whichever you'd like to do. On one hand, the scientists ARE scientists and as a result will like to experiment on the characters to learn more about their powers, abilities, and memories, but they're also Disgaean demons, so many will see 'humorous crap' to be reason enough to make something happen to a character.]
