i know i should be doing a heck lot of other things, but i've finally finished agent carter s1 and dammit it was really good! a very fitting extrapolation of catfa i think. agent carter herself is so amazing and honourable and dignified :') the plot was done pretty well, and i did feel sad for the casualties. and the echoes of catfa were really lovely, her saving HS in the end through a similar situation and also saying farewell to cap.

i was always pretty annoyed at captain america at first, because he reminded me of the goody good (and at times potentially self-righteous) kind of hero whom i get really annoyed at. (i haven't read cap in the comics, so i'm just basing it off MCU cap)

but i think rewatching the CA trilogy and cap's development throughout the avenger arcs has really changed my mind. he remains righteous and honourable, but he never becomes self-righteous in imposing on others what he believes is right (which tony stark at times does); he is a loyal friend to the core (think: bucky); and he slowly matures to take care more of his own needs (though still striving to take care of everyone else's) - such as doing the right thing despite what authority says, and also protecting his comrades fiercely.

i think it probably helps that chris evans seems like a hilarious and very amicable fella in the interviews (which was a by-effect of watching all these interviews for sebastian stan of course HAHA).

he'd be sorely missed if cap truly passes on in avengers 4 T_T (and quite honestly, that would be a whole other hell for poor bucky)

sebastian stan, bucky barnes, marvel, chris evans, captain america
