Ups and Downs
Man, tonight has been emotionally crazy.
Early evening was good. Christopher was absolutely adorable, and even went out of his way to climb into my lap and snuggle while watching one of his Baby Einstein videos. I mean, seriously, there are few things to compare to a 2-year-old telling you that he loves you. It melts your heart. Especially after a weekend of challenging behavior, though his older brother was so awesome that it made it much easier to keep my cool. :)
After getting him to bed, though, I then got to process a bunch of paperwork for this custody fight crap, leaving me wrung out, stressed, and unhappy. I so badly wish we could just go back to our original agreement instead of fighting about who has to "win." Meh.
Tomorrow, though, I get to relieve a bit of stress by visiting Disturbed at the Roseland. I might miss part of the opening band to put Toph to bed properly, but I don't even know who's opening. The show itself is going to be awesome, though, and I could sooo use the tension relief. Not to mention, this venue is going to be so much cooler than Rockfest and the outdoor stage. Very excited.
Now to bloody well sleep, seeing as how I wake up to get ready for work in a bit under 5 hours.
And so I leave with a big, fat "meh."
