oh man, I damn near peed my pants when I saw that our deposit (for one name, since I'd only put my name on the booking) was $935!

we've managed to get it covered between three of us, but damn.

I've got a balcony next year! 6147. Upper deck. woot! where are you?

I want to say we're in 6142. So basically mirror image, almost. I'm almost entirely certain we're in an even numbered balcony.

awesome! so you're up near the front too! We should actually spend more time together this year on the boat. Maybe actually catch a show together. or at least eat dinner together one night.

We definitely should! With Carbon Leaf on the boat, more likely it can happen that we'll be at the same shows/same time!

I haven't researched the boat yet, but am hoping they have a nice dinner club. And am trying to get people to agree to go eat there with me if they do. It is SO good - you do have to pay for it, but it's a meal which would be about $150 at a restaurant in a city...

and with carbon leaf, you can count on me being in the front every time for the whole show.

most ships do have the nice dining room where you can pay extra (usually $30) to have an even fancier dinner. I haven't looked at anything for the ship yet, except the deck plan to see where to have a room. I'm so stoked already.

Yeah, I haven't really looked around yet.

On VII we ate in the fancy dining room, and it was SO worth it!

it usually is. on holland america ships, our special dining room is $30 per person, but for that price you can get anything on the menu, like a huge ass steak that would be that much or more normally.

It was something like that on Carnival, too. I think some amount of wine was included, too, if I remember right.

Awesome. Makes me hungry thinking about it!
