Title: Keep Off the Grass
Fandom: Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!
Genre: Parody/Satire
Propmt: 67: Arguement
Summary: An allegory for the SRMTHG fandom on fanfiction.net.

It was another quiet day, far from the first since the war had ended. Skeleton King was gone gone this time, and pretty much all other evils around the cosmos had fallen with him. There wasn't much to do anymore, which was a strange feeling for the team to say the least. While part of the emotion was negative and nostalgic, the positive feelings included the pleasure of new free time. Defeating all great evil as we know it can do that to a hero's schedule. Antauri strolled through the park, enjoying the flowers quietly, like he did frequently. One of the things that was now etched in his mind as part of the park was a sign on the path. The sign showed up in a few places in the park, and read “Keep off the grass” in large, red letters.

At one point in today's walk, he noticed the sign again. Or, more specifically, a young girl ignoring it. The said girl was a year or so younger than Chiro, and she smiled as she looked as the grass beneath her feet. “Excuse me!” Antauri called.

The girl looked up and over at Antauri. “Oh, hello! Yes?”

“I am sorry to bother you, but the rules of the park do not allow you to stand on that patch of grass.”

“Yeah, I know that,” the girl said.

Silence for a moment.

“So...”

“So?”

“I would recommend that you move to another patch of grass; one that does not have that rule set for it.”

Suddenly, the girl's smile turned to a deep scowl, and she began yelling. “Why, how dare you tell me that!”

Antauri blinked in surprise.

“Do you got a problem with standing on grass, meanie?!”

“No. I quite enjoy it actually, but on other patches where it is allowed.” Antauri tried his best to keep composed, despite the attitude he was getting for his suggestion.

“I don't have to if I don't want to! Rules are made to be broken! They're overrated! Shut up!”

“The rules are made to benefit the park.”

“I don't care what happens to the park! I'm happy, and that's all that matters! Grass standing here makes me look cool!”

“Hey, Lauren, what's going on?” asked another girl walking up to the argument. She was about the same age as her friend, and was followed by a third girl and a boy, also teenagers.

“Kathy,” the grass stander, Lauren, replied to the girl, “this rude person is telling me to go stand on a different patch of grass, because of the stupid rules!”

“What?!” the boy said, shocked. “Wow, what a bully!”

“I know!” Kathy added. “Don't listen to him Lauren! Rebel! Fight the power!”

All the teens cheered, running onto the patch of grass and stomping all over it as hard as they could, glaring at Antauri and yelling insults as him.

For a second, Antauri simply stared, dumbfounded by the behavior of his fellow citizens. In a strange way, their attitude reminded him of Skeleton King. Of course, grass standing wasn't even close to as bad as trying to take over the universe, but they all shared the same hatred of people trying to keep order and do a good deed. It amazed him that it had become a bad thing to try and respect the people who set up that grass in the first place. He rolled his eyes and walked away. On the way out, he pointed them out to one of the groundskeepers.
