Summer's over?
Here it is the first week in August. At my mom's yesterday, she told me that my brother's rabbit is already growing his winter coat. Some of the trees are already losing their leaves.
What the heck?
Here the west coast has just come out of the hottest July in many years with record-breaking temperatures in weird places like Seattle. Now the heatwave has finally broken, and nature is buckling down for winter.
The last time the animals and trees prepared for winter early, we had that massive El Nino year where it rained and rained all year long, and got hot about one month in the summer. Which is really weird for California.
