well, it has been a minute since i posted to this spot.
the summer looms large and hot in florida sunshine and muggy day air -- i endeavor to mount my bike with harvest on my tail as often as i can, and the challenge of re-entering that good life choice is strong... but i feel it coming, and am enjoying the chance to pedal again. days with her are so laughter and silliness, so filled even already with questions and attempted answers... she grows so fast and so slowly at once, and i am beside myself with awe at most moments.
the 26th of may i am putting on an event at a cool record and book shop herein town, Inertia is its name, to celebrate the release fo Porch Guest, a 22 minute on one track mini private concert on my porch one afternoon... six songs... a vibe. the covers of the fifty limited edition cds are each an original work of art by one of the gifted visual artists i am honored to know. also, may of the area's coolest singer-songwriters will play a couple songs each to help the evening fill with music. should be fun, a chance to see friends, and enjoy some good music.
sol hit off a pitch today and got a kid out at first base. then he came home and began drawing and coloring on the back porch. now he is in the bathroom crying he hurt his foot. and now laughing and playing with his sister fresh out of a shower. scrambled egg pancakes with cheese for the kids! toes! harvest got a doughnut! at som beba gem.
