"Worse than the total agony of being in love?"
Six word story of the day: #1 - "Girl meets boy, discovers unrequited love."
Not to say that I'm in love. I think I'm more in love with the idea of love and possibly loving someone. Because I don't think I've ever been in love but I think it's a grand idea and I think I might like to sometime. Fall in love, that is. I've been infatuated, of course. And there's just something thrilling about the way your heart accelerates when you see him and the way your breath catches in anticipation when you know that he's going to be around. And there's something special about wanting to have someone special.
Of course, years of romance novels and romantic comedies have likely given me a completely wrong notion of love. So maybe love is terrible. Maybe love is awful and best left to novels and movies and fantasies. Because how could the real thing possibly match up with the ideal?
But still there's something about love that has me yearning to experience it at least. I don't necessarily know if marriage, family, and the whole nine yards is for me, but love doesn't have to be about that, right?
